OUR REACH

As a grassroots organization, Med Coalition relies on its dedicated volunteers and global partnerships to further its goals. Our partnerships with Hope Foundation, the Sonar Bangla Foundation, California International Agricultural Friendship Inc, IRDS, Direct Relief, the United Nations, and more drive us to continue our work in expanding access to healthcare globally.

The United Nations

Med Coalition had the distinct privilege of attending the United Nations ECOSOC 2025 Conference as a UN partner and non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing global health equity, sustainable healthcare solutions, and international medical collaboration. At this global summit, our executive board engaged in high-level discussions with the President of ECOSOC, the Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), UN Peace Ambassadors, country delegates, and the President of the International Convocation of Unitarian Universalist Women (ICUUW). These conversations centered on tackling pressing healthcare challenges, strengthening medical aid initiatives, and promoting sustainable development in underserved communities worldwide.

Representing Med Coalition in the Trustee Chamber at the UN Headquarters were the Chief Executive Officer Mafruha Esha, Chief Operating Officer Asseal Abdu, and Chief Development Officer Iftykhar Ifty, who played a vital role in advocating for policy-driven healthcare reforms and expanding access to medical resources. Their participation reinforced the importance of collaborative action in addressing healthcare disparities on a global scale. We look forward to implementing the insights gained and fostering impactful collaborations to drive meaningful change in global health.

SBF LA Annual Event and Fundraising 2024

On November 2, 2024, Med Coalition’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer had the honor of attending the Sonar Bangla Foundation’s (SBF) Los Angeles Annual Fundraising Event in North Hollywood. This incredible evening brought together community leaders, healthcare advocates, and supporters to raise funds for vital healthcare initiatives benefiting kidney patients in Bangladesh.

As an organization dedicated to improving healthcare access, Med Coalition was proud to stand in solidarity with SBF’s mission of providing critical medical treatment to underserved populations. Our team engaged with fellow nonprofit leaders, donors, and healthcare professionals, exchanging ideas on sustainable healthcare solutions.

Med Coalition’s CEO, Mafruha Esha, took the stage to share a statement about the resilience of Bangladesh, the urgent need for medical support, and Med Coalition’s ongoing efforts to bridge healthcare gaps both locally and abroad. She highlighted our work in providing medicine, financial aid, and education to underserved communities and emphasized the importance of collective action in creating sustainable change. We are deeply grateful to the Sonar Bangla Foundation for allowing us to share our mission and for hosting such a meaningful event. We look forward to continuing this partnership and working together to make a lasting impact.

13th Annual BMANA Convention

On February 16, 2025, Med Coalition had the privilege of attending the 13th Annual Convention of the Bangladesh Medical Association of North America (BMANA) California Chapter at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport Hotel. Represented by Mafruha Esha and Joel Phillip, our team engaged with healthcare professionals, nonprofit leaders, and global health advocates to discuss innovative approaches to medical outreach, disease prevention, and healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.

The conference provided a platform for collaborative discussions, networking opportunities, and expert-led panels on advancing healthcare solutions in Bangladesh and other developing regions. Med Coalition was honored to participate in these vital conversations, furthering our mission to bridge healthcare gaps through education, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives. We look forward to fostering new partnerships and implementing key takeaways from this event to enhance our impact worldwide.
